These terms govern your use of the Sabrosia app and its subscription. They are the agreement between you and [pending: ownerName] (“we” or “us”), the owner of Sabrosia, and they also serve as the app’s end user licence agreement (EULA). By creating an account or subscribing, you accept them. Please read them together with our privacy policy; our details are in the legal notice.

What Sabrosia is

Sabrosia is a recipe app for iOS and Android that tells you what to cook based on your tastes, allergies and diet. It includes a recipe catalogue, cooking mode, your cooking diary and Nomi, an AI chef who answers cooking questions and can write or adapt recipes for you.

Your account

  • To use Sabrosia you need an account (with Apple, Google or email) and you must be at least 16. If you are under 18, you need permission from a parent or guardian to subscribe.
  • Your account is personal. Keep your login safe and tell us if you think someone else is using it.
  • The information you give us must be accurate, especially your allergies and intolerances, since they decide which recipes you see.

Subscription and payment

  • Sabrosia is a paid app: there is no free plan and no free trial. You need an active subscription to use it.
  • There are two plans, weekly and yearly. The price of each, taxes included, is shown in the app and in the store before you confirm the purchase, and may vary by country.
  • You buy through Apple’s App Store or Google Play, who charge you when you confirm. RevenueCat, our provider, tells us your subscription status so we can unlock it on your account.
  • Automatic renewal. Your subscription renews at the end of each period, for the same length and at the current price, unless you cancel at least 24 hours before the period ends.
  • Cancelling. You cancel in your store settings: on iPhone, Settings › your name › Subscriptions; on Android, Google Play › your profile › Payments and subscriptions › Subscriptions. You keep access until the end of the period you’ve paid for. Deleting the app or your account does not cancel your subscription.
  • Switching plans. You can move from the weekly to the yearly plan at any time from your store’s subscription settings.
  • Price changes. If we change the price, the store will tell you before it applies and, where the law or its rules require it, ask you to accept it. If you don’t agree, you can cancel.
  • If you change phones, use “Restore purchases” in the app to get your subscription back.

Refunds and the right of withdrawal

Because Apple or Google take the payment, refunds are requested from them and follow their policies: for Apple, at reportaproblem.apple.com; for Google Play, from your order history or the Google Play help centre. We can’t process refunds ourselves.

If you are a consumer in the European Union, the law generally gives you 14 days to withdraw from a purchase made at a distance. When you subscribe to Sabrosia, you expressly ask for the service to start straight away and acknowledge that you therefore lose your right of withdrawal once it starts, under Article 103(m) of Spain’s consumer protection law (Royal Legislative Decree 1/2007). This doesn’t limit any refunds Apple or Google offer under their own terms, or your rights if the service doesn’t work as described.

Nomi and AI-generated content

  • Nomi is an AI and can get things wrong. Use common sense with what she suggests, especially times, temperatures and quantities.
  • Nomi only talks about cooking. She doesn’t give medical or nutritional advice: for that, see a health professional.
  • Before using Nomi, you must agree in the app to your messages and cooking profile being sent to the AI provider named there. You can withdraw that permission at any time.
  • Recipes Nomi writes or adapts for you are private. Our team hasn’t tested them; the app works out their allergens and nutrition from the ingredients.
  • There is a daily message limit to keep the service sustainable. The app lets you know when you’re getting close.
  • If an answer seems dangerous, wrong or offensive, report it from the answer itself and we’ll review it.

Allergies and food safety

We take allergies very seriously, but no app can replace your own checks:

  • Recipes are filtered automatically using their structured ingredients, never based on what the AI says. That’s why allergen information is given “based on the recipe’s ingredients”.
  • Always check the labels of the products you buy: brands change their ingredients and products may contain traces. When an ingredient only contains an allergen in some brands, the app tells you.
  • The app can’t control how food is prepared in your kitchen, such as cross-contact from shared utensils.
  • If you cook for other people, check their allergies and intolerances yourself: the app only knows yours.
  • Nutritional values are approximate.
  • Catalogue recipes are created with the help of AI and validated before they’re published, but they may contain mistakes.
  • Sabrosia is not a medical device and doesn’t replace advice from a health professional. If you have a severe allergy, always follow your doctor’s advice.

Acceptable use

When using Sabrosia, you agree not to:

  • use it commercially or to provide services to others;
  • copy or extract recipes, images or other content in bulk, or use bots to do so;
  • try to access other people’s data, decompile the app or interfere with how it works or its security;
  • use Nomi for anything other than cooking, to generate illegal or offensive content, or to try to get around her instructions;
  • share your account.

Your content

Your notes, photos and messages are yours. You allow us to store and process them only to provide the service, as explained in the privacy policy. Your photos are private and only you can see them. Only upload photos you have the rights to.

Intellectual property and licence

Sabrosia, Nomi, the recipes, texts, illustrations, photos, design and software belong to us or our licensors. We grant you a personal, limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable and revocable licence to use the app on devices you own or control, while you have an active subscription and follow these terms and the rules of the store you downloaded it from. You can share the link to a catalogue recipe, but not copy or redistribute its content.

Changes to the service

Sabrosia keeps evolving: we’ll add, change or remove features. If a change makes what you signed up for significantly worse, we’ll tell you in advance and you can end your subscription; where appropriate, we’ll help you ask the store for a refund of the unused part. If we ever stop offering Sabrosia, we’ll give you at least 30 days’ notice.

The service may be briefly interrupted for maintenance, updates or reasons beyond our control. We’ll try to keep any interruptions short.

Ending your account and suspension

You can stop using Sabrosia and delete your account whenever you like, in Profile › Account › Delete account. Remember to cancel your subscription in your store as well.

We may suspend or close your account if you seriously break these terms, for example by abusing Nomi or trying to access other people’s data. Unless it isn’t possible or the law prevents it, we’ll warn you first and explain why.

Liability

We take reasonable care to make Sabrosia work well and safely. We are not liable for harm caused by not following these terms (in particular, not checking labels or not checking other people’s allergies), by misuse of the app, or by causes beyond our control. Nothing here limits our liability where the law doesn’t allow it, such as for wilful misconduct or gross negligence, or your rights as a consumer, including the legal guarantee of conformity.

If you downloaded Sabrosia from the App Store

If you use the app on an Apple device, the following also applies:

  • This agreement is between you and us, not Apple. We, not Apple, are solely responsible for the app and its content.
  • Your licence lets you use the app on Apple-branded devices you own or control, as permitted by the Usage Rules in the App Store Terms of Service.
  • Apple has no obligation to provide maintenance or support for the app.
  • If the app fails to meet any applicable warranty, you can notify Apple, and Apple will refund the purchase price, if any. To the extent the law allows, Apple has no other warranty obligation regarding the app.
  • We, not Apple, are responsible for handling any claims relating to the app, including product liability, failure to meet legal or regulatory requirements, consumer protection or privacy claims, and any third-party claim that the app infringes intellectual property rights.
  • You confirm that you are not located in a country subject to a US Government embargo or designated by it as a “terrorist supporting” country, and that you are not on any US Government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
  • You must comply with any applicable third-party terms when using the app.
  • Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of these terms and, once you accept them, may enforce them against you.

If you downloaded the app from Google Play, your purchase is also governed by the Google Play Terms of Service.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the service or the law. If a change is significant, we’ll let you know in the app with reasonable notice. If you don’t agree, you can cancel your subscription and delete your account.

Governing law and complaints

These terms are governed by Spanish law. If you are a consumer, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of your country of residence and can bring a claim in the courts where you live. If something goes wrong, please write to us first at hello@sabrosia.app and we’ll try to sort it out. You can also contact the consumer authorities where you live.
